(1 hour lunch break will be given)

-10 dec,wednesday
-12 dec,friday
practises from 8am to 3pm
(1 hour lunch break will be given)
-11 dec,thursday (band exchange)
from 8am to 5pm

don't take everything for granted,
don't just think that everything
will be going smoothly as you think.

please wake up,
the competition is about 6month from now,
it can be 6week, 6day, 6min, 6sec before on stage.

we are already so lack of time.
we do not even have enough time to practice.
so self practice is very important.
take down all the essential remark to your score.


we alumni may not have time
to be with the band every time.
so you guys have to help yourselves.

pls do not take this as a joke.
please have some urgency to music making.
with you guys really want to achieve something.

Hey band members,

there will be a band camp on 1st december,monday to 3rd december,wednesday
you are needed to contribute money for your meals as there is a shortage of money due to overspending on instruments' maintenance.
as we were worried that some of your band mates are unable to fork out too much money,you are asked to vote (compulsory) if you prefer a 3 days 2 nights camp to a 3 days 1 night camp,majority wins.

for a 3 days 1 night camp, you have to pay $1o-15
reasons are:
1 meal cost $2-3
total no. of meals-5
total cost for 5 meals is $10-15

for a 3 days 2 nights camp ,you have to pay $14-21
reasons are:
1 meal cost $2-3
total no.of meals-7
total cost for 7 meals is $14-21

About The Band
The band was formed in 1998 and saw her formative years
under the musical direction of Mr. Richard Png
and achieved a bronze medal in SYF 2003.
Mr. Colin Ng took over the band mantle in 2004
and further developed the band into her present symphonic capacity.
The band was awarded a silver medal in 2005
and a bronze medal in 2007
and in 2009, the band attained another silver award
in the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Central Judging of Concert Bands.
Woodlands Ring Military Band has since became also very versatile
in serving as Band-in-attendance for many school regimental parades.
We had been honored with an invitation to perform for the
St. John Ambulance Brigade Changing of Colors Parade
which was graced by his Excellency, President S.R. Nathan.
and the band was invited to perform in many
subsequent zone level SJAB parades and private functions.
The band’s concert series “Bravissimo” started since 2006 is a performance
platform managed by students to showcase the entrepreneurship
and develop community spirit of our musicians.
Our current membership stands at sixty and
we aspire to be the cultural ambassador of Woodlands Ring Secondary School,
not just to our local community but also to the rest of the global community.
