OPERATION A WHOLE NEW WORLD AND BEING CONSISTENT.

After two successful projects, BTB and A NEW BEGINING, here's another one.
Another success? It's up to u guys. Let's make it another great rehearsal.

2.30 will be drills. 3 to 3.45 sectionals.
10 mins interaction time.
4pm full band.
6.15 fall in.

Thursday timeline

Hey band members. Here's the band schedule approved by sir. Take a look!

2.30 - 3.00 Drills. -Consolidate disciplinary issues and give out instructions for sectionals.

3.00 - 3.45 -BTB Sectionals. - Sectional on, We R the World, Recess Rock, Canticle of the Sun and Laputa.

5 mins break, 10 mins band interaction time. - Have a general chat, monitoring progress so far.

4.00 Full band. -OBSERVE THE RULES TOLD DURING BTB. Anyone not following, punishment shall be given.

6.15 Fall in for dissmisal.

A day after BTB.

A day after Project B-T-B.

A successful project and all of you were a part of it. I hope you all enjoyed it and most importantly learnt many new things. Back to basics is to bring you back to what you are expected to do for sectionals, drills and full band. Finally, all of these would make you a better band member.
For those who missed this session, you missed a big event. However, feel free to ask the majors or any band members what you have missed. Also, i think all of you agree that the forum was a success? We shall be having more of it. I think we need to hear more from the band. After all, WE ARE A FAMILY!!!! ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT!

Next up, on this thursday, it is another operation.

OPERATION: A NEW GOOD BEGINNING. THE NEW BEGINNING OF CONSISTENCY AND NEVER INCONSISTENCY.

About The Band
The band was formed in 1998 and saw her formative years
under the musical direction of Mr. Richard Png
and achieved a bronze medal in SYF 2003.
Mr. Colin Ng took over the band mantle in 2004
and further developed the band into her present symphonic capacity.
The band was awarded a silver medal in 2005
and a bronze medal in 2007
and in 2009, the band attained another silver award
in the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Central Judging of Concert Bands.
Woodlands Ring Military Band has since became also very versatile
in serving as Band-in-attendance for many school regimental parades.
We had been honored with an invitation to perform for the
St. John Ambulance Brigade Changing of Colors Parade
which was graced by his Excellency, President S.R. Nathan.
and the band was invited to perform in many
subsequent zone level SJAB parades and private functions.
The band’s concert series “Bravissimo” started since 2006 is a performance
platform managed by students to showcase the entrepreneurship
and develop community spirit of our musicians.
Our current membership stands at sixty and
we aspire to be the cultural ambassador of Woodlands Ring Secondary School,
not just to our local community but also to the rest of the global community.
