NOT TOO LONG LEFT..

Greetings Beloved Band Members.

Countdown: 5 More Days to Bravissimo 2

I would like to convey a few things to the Honourable Woodlands Ring Band members. I know I nag a lot but please endure with me.
Well, if you think the concert is still a long time to come, WAKE UP!!!!
For those who are in the right mindset, thank you and please help to spread this mindset to the rest of your band members.

Attendance
Attendance is very important as you all know. Sir always mentions that if your attendance record is bad, there will be no performance for you. NO REHEARSAL, NO PERFORMANCE.
The Majors have noticed that a handful have reported late for band and we have not taken action YET. However we have consistently taken note of these latecomers and you know what to expect from the majors right? PUNISHMENT. Come on guys, you guys are responsible and matured band members, so please exercise punctuality.
Also, recently, many band members have fallen sick. Therefore, please take care of your health and don't overwork yourself. SLEEP EARLY!!! You don't want to fall sick on the day of performance right?

Drills
There's not much to say about this topic because its all said during the drills session itself. I know I have been shouting to the juniors a lot and pushing you guys hard. However, remember, you guys are going to be seniors next year with a new batch of juniors to train. So, you must always be of high standards and make sure you are competent in both music making and drills. Drills is imperative in sustaining self discipline and pushing your limits. Seniors, you all have been a little rusty but for the past few sessions you have been putting in effort and your precision in drills have improved. But, like i always say during drills, good, but not good enough. Thus, stay focused and have the right mentality during drills.

Discipline
Its in our band blood(if there's such a word) to chit chat a lot during band practice. You can speak. AFTER BAND PRACTICE OR IF YOU WANT TO GIVE INSTRUCTIONS OR WHATSOEVER, ASK FOR SIR'S PERMISSION. I Have been observing you guys and I have taken note the talkative ones. Also, there are some sections who are regular chit chatters during band practice.
Come on guys, I want to treat you guys as matured band members who exercise integrity. I will be stricter with this issue in the coming band practices. Last but not least, YOUR POSTURE IS NOT UP TO STANDARD. SIT HALF THE CHAIR, FEET FLAT ON THE FLOOR. AND WE ALSO HAVE TO IMPROVE ON OUR PRECISION IN UP INSTRUMENT AND DOWN INSTRUMENTS. TRUST ME, IT WILL MAKE YOU LOOK OUTSTANDING DURING THE CONCERT.

Ok, that's all for my long speech.
I will be reviewing every band practice on this blog.
Work hard.

With Love,
Your DM, Syafiq.
